Hi, Sarah, how do you read „Undine geht“ I.Bachmann?
I understand ‘Udine geht’ as a re-discovery of one’s self, and the awakening within that happens as a result of that discovery.

Wie siehst Du „Undine“? Who is Undine?
I see Udine as humanity: humanity that has come almost to a standstill (or extinction) as a result of its failure to understand its true worth, value and inherent awesomeness and power. The ‘geht’ in the phrase is Udine (or humanity’s) slow but sure re-awakening to that knowledge.

„Undine geht“ wurde vor gut 60 Jahren veröffentlicht. Was hat sich seit damals im Rollenbild von Frau und Mann verändert und was sollte sich noch ändern?
What has changed in sixty years in society roles?
Regarding humanity’s ability to learn from the mistakes of its pasts, I am tempted to say, ‘Nothing.’ Perhaps that will change now that Udine is awakening to its latent power. We can only hope…

What about patriarchat today?
It seems to be old wine in a new bottle: The male section of our world continues to ignore (to the detriment of our society) the amazing potentials contained in their female counterpart. They seemingly continue to believe that the growth of the females equals the decline of the males. Similar to a husband thinking the empowerment of his wife means his own disempowerment – rather than understanding that it actually means the betterment of their overall family.

How can love function?
Love functions better when it begins with the self: Love for all blossoms and flowers when it starts with love of self. You can’t expect an outsider to love what you yourself do not realize or understand is worth loving. However, self-love is a learned love. If you don’t learn to love yourself, you won’t know how to love yourself. Everything starts with the self. That is why, ‘Udine geht’ begins with self-awakening and the realization of the latent, untapped power that lies within her.

What says the Undine text today for you?
It says, keep exploring…there’s yet more to be discovered.
Was bedeutet Dir Natur?
What is your relation to nature?
I am nature and nature is me. I exist to nurture her and she exists to nurture me.

Was bedeutet Dir das Element Wasser?
Your relation to water?
Same as nature. It is one and the same. It is like the body with different parts…each part does something different but can only fully function as part of the whole. For example, as important as the eyes are they cannot function properly if they are separated from the body.
Wie lebst Du den Kreislauf der Jahreszeiten?
How to you live the year circle?
I wake up, give thanks to God for a new day, do my day and, at the end, I go to bed giving thanks to the same God for the ability to do that day.

How can modern human live in harmony with nature?
By recognizing that he is part of nature and nature is part of him: If he cannot do harm to himself and expects to live harmoniously, so too can he not harm nature and expects to exist harmoniously within nature.

Was braucht Liebe immer, um zu wachsen, blühen?
What needs love to grow?
A heart of gratitude, harmony within self, and tolerance of/with others.
Was lässt Liebe untergehen?
What destroys love?
Ingratitude, Inner strife, intolerance.

Wie war Dein Weg zum Schreiben?
When did your writing in life start?
I’ve always believed that I was a writer before I became a writer. The reason I said this is because writing saved my life – repeatedly. I believe that God granted me the ability to write because He knew that I would one day need a friend I could count on: a friend I could talk to about anything without fear of betrayal.

Welche aktuellen Projektpläne hast Du?
Which art plans do you have currently?
To continue the journey of knowing/discovering and loving this awesome entity called, Sarah: and use the lessons and tips learned to empower others to also love themselves in the same manner.

Welches Zitat aus „Undine geht“ möchtest Du uns mitgeben?
Which quote from Undine will you give to us?
“I don’t take drugs, I take books.”
Please write a Undine achrostichon
U – Understanding (as in, know that things are always more than they seem)
N -No (as in, learned to say a big fat, NO. Not every issue should be accorded
your precious time, energy or attention)
D -Discover (discover the world around you, you’d be surprised what you might
unearth.
I – Inquisitive (be hungry to know more, and yet more, and yet more, ad-
infinitum)
N -Never (as in, never say ‘Never.’ Know that the possibility exists.
E – Encourage (as in, let kind words dot your every sentence. Although they
walk around behaving like they’ve got it all together, most people are
hurting. A word of encouragement at the right time to the right person can
impact and change not just their life but the life of those they love. Kind
words are life pebbles thrown in the sea – they generate waves long after the
thrower has gone – or ceased to exist
G – Gratitude (to your Maker first, and to everyone who has
sown into your life in one way or another.
E – Enjoy your life.
H – Hope (never lose hope despite all odds, the proverbial ‘light at the end of
the tunnel’ really does exist. I am a living testimony.
T – True (as in, be true to yourself, be authentically, unapologetically true to
YOU.
